The new members of the Leadership Council, Drs. Holli Devon, Chair-Elect, Donna McCarthy,
Council-At-Large, and Nancy Fahrenwald, Council for Finance and Records, joined the
other members of the Leadership Council, Drs. Jean Wyman, Marti Rice, Pat Underwood,
Anna Alt-White, Marie Lobo, Cindy Munro, Wendy Budin, Linda Herrick, Ann Knebel and
Ruth Kleinpell (liaison from the American Academy of Nursing) at their mid-year meeting
held on March 5, 2015, in Washington, DC during a heavy snow storm. Also in attendance
were Susan Rawl (President-Elect of MNRS) and Laura Smothers, Manager of the Council
for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS). After an orientation session for new
members in the morning, the Leadership Council addressed a full agenda of items including
a review of the Strategic Plan, Policies and Procedures Manual, 2015 Budget, Website
and Database Update, 2015 Special Topics Conference, 2016 State of the Science Conference,
and the Standing Committees and Task Forces.
