I would like to take this opportunity to share the Council for the Advancement of
Nursing Science's (Council) annual report to the American Academy of Nursing's (Academy)
Board of Directors. The Council is an open membership organization of the Academy,
that is, fellowship in the Academy is not required to be a member of the Council.
The mission of the Council is to promote better health through nursing science and
our vision is to be recognized as the collective, national voice for nursing science.
A summary of the many activities sponsored by the Council in 2018 follows.
