Passing the Torch

      This is my final editorial and the hardest to write. Being selected to be editor-in-chief in 2003 was such a gift to me……….what I lacked in experience as an editor I made up for in enthusiasm. What a leap of faith on the part of the AAN board! And the gift was one that kept on giving—each year I learned so much working with AAN members—both those new fellows and those more “seasoned.” The gift clearly was a lot to unwrap but one that allowed me to contribute to the profession in ways I didn't know I could at the time.
